Major Uses
Ethyl acetate is mainly used as a solvent for varnishes, diluents, synthetic leathers, nitrocellulose and plastics. It can also be used as a raw material of synthetic dyes, drugs and perfumes, and used as an extracting agent during the production of drugs and organic acids.
Toxicity and Safety
1．Ethyl acetate has low toxicity and is easily combustible and is easily volatilization. Its vapor can form explosive mixture with air. When heated or meeting fires, it can burn and have the danger of explosion.
2．Ethyl acetate can stimulate human eyes, noses and throats. Inhalation of high concentration of ethyl acetate can cause anesthesia, acute pulmonary edema and liver and kidney damages. If spattered on skin, it must be washed off completely with suds or clean water at once.
Package and Transport
Packed with 200L plastic barrel or galvanized barrels. Transported with railway or automobile tank cars.
